7 Golden Rules of Life!!!

1. Don't let someone become a priority in your life, when you are just an option in their life. Relationships work best when they are balanced.
2. Never explain yourself to anyone. Because the person who likes you doesn't need it, and the person who doesn't like you won't believe it.
3. When you keep saying you are busy, then you are never free. When you keep saying you have no time, then you will never have time. When you keep saying that you will do it tomorrow, then your tomorrow will never come.
4. When we wake up in the morning, we have two simple choices; go back to sleep and dream, or wake up and chase those dreams… choice is yours.
5. We make them cry who care for us. We cry for those who never care for us. And we care for those who will never cry for us. This is the truth of life, it's strange but true. Once you realize this, it's never too late to change.
6. Don't make promise when you are in joy. Don't reply when you are sad. Don't take decision when you are angry. Think twice, act twice.
7. Time is like river. You can't touch the same water twice, because the flow that has passed will never pass again.

Fantacies

Think...
I want you to reach back into those minds and tell me, tell us all...
What is it that you fantasize about? World peace? Do you fantasize about international fame? Do you fantasize about winning a Pulitzer Prize? Or a Nobel Peace Prize? An MTV Music Award? Do you fantasize about meeting some genius hunk, ostensibly bad... but secretly simmering with noble passion... and willing to sleep on the wet spot?

You get Lacan's point.
Fantasies have to be unrealistic, because the moment, the second that you get what you seek, you don't, you can't want it anymore. In order to continue to exist, desire must have its objects perpetually absent. It's not the "it" that you want. It's the fantasy of"it". So, desire supports crazy fantasies.

Sorry, this is what Pascal means when he says that we are only truly happy... when daydreaming about future happiness.
It came today, or why we say...
the hunt is sweeter than the kill.
Or be careful what you wish for, not because you'll get it, but because you're doomed not to want it once you do.

So the lesson of Lacan is, living by your wants will never make you happy. What it means to be fully human is to strive to live by ideas and ideals, and not to measure your life by what you've attained in terms of your desires. But those small moments of integrity, compassion, rationality, even self-sacrifice.

Getting old... getting bigger issues...

God, I miss our good old days when one can say whatever in his mind without fears. I hate these days when the burdens got heavier and much difficult to steam out.

Bad politics

Ambition can drive leaders to practice bad politics to push a certain cause at the expense of others. Leaders manipulate others within the organization, get rid of certain people, even good, talented people, because it doesn’t suit their particular interest and they want to construct a team loyal to them. Good people who can bring value to the organization are shunted out.

Underachievement
